We’ve often wondered how we could improve what we have to offer our guests here at Beare’s Den and we decided that what was missing was some food and drinks. In spring 2023, we purchased a 20 year old horse box and set to work obtaining the qualifications, training and permissions to be able to open a fantastic little cafe to meet some of the basic needs of our campers.
We now serve outstanding, freshly-made coffee and a selection of breakfast options, as well as other drinks and snacks, including cold drinks and ice creams. As much as possible, our ingredients are sourced locally, and our coffee is roasted only 20 minutes down the road. The most rewarding aspect for us is to be able to chat with our guests whilst making their breakfast bap and flat white, literally seconds from the pitches.

Our ingredients are always fresh and we cover both meat and vegetarian options which are all cooked to order and come with a healthy portion of good humour from Adam and Bibba in the process…
wood-fired pizza nights
We are a family of four here at Beare’s Den, so we understand the importance of quality time together. Wood-fired pizza has long since been a dream of ours and we are proud to say we now have a fully roaring oven with which we create beautiful hand crafted pizza to order. Our sourdough bases are lovingly prepared after 24 hours proving in order to give a crisp and fluffy pizza which, if we do say so ourselves, is dangerously good! We use locally sourced hard wood logs, well seasoned in order to give an exceptionally clean burn of temperatures up to 300°C. This allows us to produce the best pizza you’ll ever taste, literally cooked in 60 seconds by our resident ‘Grizzly Pit Master’.
Pizza nights happen throughout the summer and need to be pre-ordered (ideally the day before) to avoid disappointment. Our dough is fresh and requires time to prove therefore ordering the day before allows this process to happen and also avoids any waste.
